When does the parade start?

The roads start closing at 9:00 a.m.

How long is the parade?

The parade takes about 60 minutes to pass by. There will be nearly 100 floats and marching bands in the parade.

What's the weather forecast?

May I bring foldable lawn chairs?

At 11:00 a.m., the front of the parade is expected to start moving north from the intersection of Main Street Markham and Hwy 7 East. It takes about 30 minutes for the entire parade to pass by. Depending on the speed of the parade, the front of the parade is expected to reach Bur Oak Ave. at at 1:00pm (times are approximate only!).

When will Santa arrive?

Yes.  Make yourself comfortable.

Where can I park?

Where is the best place to view the parade?

You can see the parade from any spot along Main Street Markham, from Hwy 7 East to Bur Oak Ave. Typically a large number of parade goers gather at the end of the parade route at Bur Oak Ave. thus it is best to be south of that location.

Santa and his sleigh are at the end of the parade. So when the front of the parade reaches your location, expect about 60 minutes for Santa to arrive.

Dress warmly with several layers of clothing. Bring gloves, scarves, and hats.

Parking is available in the areas surrounding the parade route. Parking is not permitted on Main Street Markham.
